Overview

The Yamunotri – Gangotri Yatra is a sacred journey to two of the most revered shrines of the Char Dham circuit. This 7-day pilgrimage begins from Haridwar and takes you through scenic Himalayan routes, holy rivers, and spiritual towns. You will visit Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River, and Gangotri, the origin of the holy River Ganga. This journey offers not just darshan of the revered shrines but also a chance to experience the spiritual aura of Uttarakhand.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Haridwar

Arrive in Haridwar, check in at the hotel. In the evening, attend the famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.

Day 02 :

Haridwar – Barkot (220 km / 8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Barkot via Mussoorie and visit the beautiful Kempty Falls on the way. On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Day 03 :

Barkot – Yamunotri Darshan – Barkot (36 km drive + 6 km trek one way)

Morning drive to Janki Chatti. Start your trek (or hire pony/doli) to reach Yamunotri Temple. Take a dip in Surya Kund and offer puja at the temple. Return to Barkot in the evening.

Day 04 :

Barkot – Uttarkashi (100 km / 4 hrs)

Drive to Uttarkashi, a sacred town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and local market.

Day 05 :

Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (200 km round trip / 7 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Gangotri Dham. En route, witness the confluence at Gangnani and hot water springs. On arrival, take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River and offer prayers at Gangotri Temple. Return to Uttarkashi by evening.

Day 06 :

Uttarkashi – Rishikesh (170 km / 6 hrs)

Drive back to Rishikesh. In the evening, attend Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat and visit Ram Jhula & Laxman Jhula.

Day 07 :

Rishikesh – Haridwar Departure (30 km / 1 hr)

After breakfast, drive to Haridwar for departure with divine blessings.
